Estimates

After visting with you by phone, the next step in the process is to estimate and evaluate your project by visiting the actual jobsite.

Estimates/Bids

The estimating phase is invaluable, as it not only provides the contractor with the context for tabulating costs but it also provides the home owner with the opportunity to see and evaluate the demeanor and temperament of the contractor. The bottomline is not only in dollars and cents, it’s also whether or not you can work with the personality and values of the contractor. Being comfortable at this point is significant.

The actual estimate for your project is converted into a detail bid which is often termed the Proposal/Contract. It’s detailed not only for the purpose of clarity and communication but we believe it is an example of the care and attention to detail which will go into your project.

Presently we mail or e-mail your bids to you. In the near future, we have the goal of leaving pricing and job spec’s with the customer at the time of the physical site estimate.

Do we charge for our estimates? Unless an individual comes to us by way of referral or is an established client, typically we do charge a nominal estimating fee of $10.00. This nominal fee has proven to aid us in better connecting with our customer base. Insurance and prospective real estate deals have different terms.

Insurance Bids, Real Estate Deals

Regarding insurance bids and Real Estate purchases, typically there is no charge for our established customers. For new and prospective customers, a $50.00 minimum fee is required at the time of the estimate. Some fees are higher and will be discussed up front with the client. Inspections

We can provide inspections for the homeowner for the purpose of annual maintenance, trouble shooting, problem solving or future real estate purchases/investments. Please call for pricing.

The $10.00 fee is for standard painting estimates and is non-refundable. Insurance estimates are a minimum of $50.00. If Paolino Painting is awarded a contract, for insurance work, the customer is given a credit for the estimation fee.
