To help facilitate the maintenance on the exterior of your home we offer our Exterior Painting Strategy.

X-terior Painting Strategy. XPS

First, some perspective and a little bit of history and science.

Experience has taught us that when we are hired to paint the exterior of someone’s home, typically ‘WE SPEND MORE TIME PREPARING THE HOUSE’ than we actually do painting the house. And this even in instances, when we are applying two seperate coats of paint!

Certainly their is no rebuttal that prepartion, skillful prepartion, is essential to a quality paint job, but it also is a very labor intensive task, and therefore an expensive component of a quality paint job. So what to do about it?

One day I thought to myself, if we could reduce a home owner’s prepartion costs, we could significantly reduce the cost of repainting their homes. The logic seemed sound; the challenge was how to do it. XPS was born.

The answer came to me in the form of annual (or even semi-annual) inspections and MAINTENANCE.

Yes, inspections and touch-up’s, which most paint companies historically do not want to be bothered with.

The physical inspections help us to address smaller issues before they create bigger problems. A one inch crack or gap in the caulking can lead to a hundred and fifty dollar repair of a window sill. Inspections will help us address such issues and reduce or even eliminate future repair bills.

In our great Southwest climate, thermal expansion and contraction takes it’s toll on even the finest homes, prepared with the best materials and human care.

Inspections provided with the critical eye of your painter, can also highlight other common culprits, like poorly directed sprinkler heads, roofing issues or faulty guttering, which lead to extensive and often expensive repair and future prepartion costs.

The additonal key to XPS is repainting sooner rather than later. If you combine annual maintenance with timely recoating, you will significantly reduce your preparation cost and in most case will only need to apply one coat of paint instead of two. Once again shrinking your labor costs.

Certainly, there will be some cost involved for the inspections and the minor touch-up’s but again, we are taking about maintenace dollars here, not a complete over haul.

I’m conviced that you will reduce your overall costs for maintaining the exterior coatings of your home, with the added bonus of having your house look great on a regular basis.

Think about it. What would our house windows look like, or for that matter our cars, if we didn’t clean and maintained them on a regular basis. Most exteriors of folks homes aren’t looked at or attended too for 4, 5, 6, 7 or more years at a time!

You get my point. XPS – inspect, maintain, and shrink your future preparation and repaint costs.*

No formal, annual contractual agreements are required or available at this time for this service. All you need to do is give us a call.

*These comments are made from the perspective of a company who has been historically and consistently ahead of the curve, in throughly preparing the exterior surfaces of folks home’s. If you paid for a cheap paint job in the past, than the logic of this plan will not apply.

Paolino Painting is also the home of the three price quote. upon request, I can give a home owner the price to simply paint their house. I can give them a price to power wash and paint it, and I can also give them a price to throughly prepare it (borderline restoration level) and protect it with a beautiful or sublime color of their choosing, in a top of the line paint.

Most of the time as consumers, we all get what we pay for. One of the sadest circumstances I encounter as a painting contractor, is having to repaint someone’s house, just two years after they have paid top dollar, for what they thought was a quality paint job, from another company or individual. Are there other good painting companies out there? Yes, but those that care and prepare well, are a dying breed.
